Most of the women in today’s world love to leave feedback on the Danskin products they use. My wife has talked with a few of her friends to get some feedback on what they wear. They asked to remain anonymous, but were happy to disclose their products they use and what they had to say about them. The first is as follows:

“I have the women’s triathlon tank top and it has its good and bad points. I do a lot of running so it’s good in that sense. However I have had some issues with the size. I am normally a size 6, so when I went and bought the item, I picked the size 6-8. It doesn’t fit however, it is too small. I had to take it back and exchange it only to get the next size up. After I got that switched out I could finally start to do my running. I didn’t want to go out and have to keep pulling down my shirt. My husband wouldn’t like it to much if he saw me out running with a shirt that was too small. Anyways the tank top is very comfortable when I run, but I wish it had more ventilation. I get a bit to sweaty when using it, but that’s ok. I figure if I sweat more then that’s a good thing. That’s really why I go running anyways.”

“I have a tank top that I go running in made by Danskin. My top was a bit expensive, but my friends told me that I had to have a Danskin to go exercise in. So I bought the top anyways and started using it. I have to say that it comes up on its own while I’m running. It did this at first and I didn’t even notice it, until one day. One day when a man who was running the other way turned around to tell me that I might wear something that fit a little better since he could see a little of something you don’t want men to see. I was amazed that I didn’t even notice. However I bought the next size up and now everything works just fine. It is very comfortable and light weight. I always run in my Danskin clothing and have no plans on changing.”

As you can see the few women that we know that would write an article would agree that their experiences with Danskin apparel are very similar overall, but they are happy with the products. We also have a friend who dances in shows and she says that the shoes that Danskin offers are excellent. They don’t have a wide selection, but what they do have is great to wear!

We hope this helps with your choice of weather to buy Danskin or not. We are here to help in any way we can. I wish we could have gotten more reviews for you to read, but I’m sure there are some out there on the web you can find. You might want to go to their website and look at the reviews there. Danskin has been around for over 100 years and I’m sure they will continue to dominate the market for the next 100 years.

They have lead the world in their manufacturing of women’s dance and activewear. The Danskin Company produces dancewear, activewear and hosiery. The company has a very wide selection on skirts, dresses, leotards, tops, bottoms, skirts, dresses and shoes. Danskin is worn by women all over the world. Here in America where I live, most of my female friends that are involved in dance and yoga all wear the Danskin brand. The leotards that are one of the most sought after Danskin apparel items there are. During the late 1970’s was when leotards first became big in the dance world. Danskin was in position to take advantage of this fact. They took the market share by storm.

Today Danskin operates out of Dayton, New Jersey. They have been bought and sold quite a few times over the years since 1882. At one point in time they were even listed on the NASDAQ, but were then taken off. The company has done well with its main niche, dancewear and activewear. The Danskin apparel is highly competitive with pricing in comparison with its competition.

The women’s legwear and tights are today some of the best sellers the company has. Danskin has partnered up with stores all across the country to sell their product today. The department stores and small dance studios all sell just about anything that Danskin offers. If they don’t care what you want, you can go on their website and search for whatever you like.

They make clothes for all occasions. If you want to go to the gym, for a jog, go to Starbucks with your friends to catch up, or take the kids for a walk in the park, Danskin offers just about whatever you could want. Most of the women who stay in shape and exercise are often seen in Danskin apparel. You probably just never noticed who their clothes were made by. Next time you see a mother and her children out, notice if she has Activewear on; most likely it’s made by Danskin.

The Cotton Bras made by Danskin are also very popular with women today. They are usually made to fit snug and made to fit women of all sizes. A lot of the bras allow free movement, which is great for working out. The colors are very pleasing to women to wear and the material washes with other clothes just fine. There is no activity that you can wear the bras too.

The swimsuits are made for women who compete in racing. They are designed with the stretch body fit that is exclusive to Danskin. The fabric offers moisture management and UV protection. They also have mesh inserts and flatlock seams. All the components together offer the best bang for your buck in swimwear!

Danskin has been around since 1882, a long time! It all started as a dry goods business in New York City. Two men, Joel and Benson Goodman, found their place in the dance world by importing hosiery from Europe and selling it to the local dancers. The Goodman brothers then started making the hosier themselves and selling it to dancers. This led to them dominating the industry with Danskin Apparel since there was no competition in the beginning. They were the first to bring the tights, stockings, and leotards to the American dance society. All the way from the early 19th century to the early 20th century, Danskin practically owned the market in the US. However in the 1950’s, Danskin made its name big all over and had a trademark. The name was quite clever too. Dan and skin, if you think about it, closely sound like dance and skin. I bet the Goodman brothers knew what they were doing when they picked this name.

In the early 1950s, Danskin was the first company to offer the nylon to the public to be worn as hosiery. By 1952, the company offered the first tights that went from waist to toe. These tights were made of the first ever stretch nylon. The brothers had a goldmine on their hands. Soon, the name was known everywhere for the dance world. Next, the skaters and gymnasts soon followed into the Danskin Apparel. With the Danskin Company having so much of the market already, there was soon much more to come. All they needed was the right man for the job.

By the late 1950s the Danskin name had gone into the mainstream and was there to stay. There most profitable item was the waist to toe tights they had developed. The two brothers were looking for more ways to expand the name. During the 1960s and 1970s, a grandson of the original Goodman’s named Peter Goodman, kept the company going. He got the company involved in the fitness, disco, and swimming markets and turned the company into even more of a success. The tights were in fashion and everyone wanted them. Now they had the dance, fitness, disco, and swimming industries. Part of his marketing plan was to support everything he could include the Olympics in hopes of growing the company even more. The children then started to wear Danskin as well as the adults in the workout rooms. The Olympics was the key to the next step in business. This led to the department stores in America starting to carry the Danskin Apparel. Peter had done his job. He took his grandparents company to the level they wanted to. The company was now the “Wal-Mart” of the dance and fitness world.
